Captain’s Message

Since the course was closed on 24 March it has been has been maintained to the highest standard and I would like to thank Jamie, Johnny and staff for all their hard work. The course is in great shape for the opening.

Message from the Ladies Club

Ladies here are some important dates for your diaries:

Secretary Prize: 9th May, 2020

Vice-Captains Prize: 11th July, 2020

Captains Prize: 13th September, 2020

We just want to thank Jamie, Sinead and their staff for doing everything to keep the course open. If it wasn’t for the golf this virus would be a lot harder to deal with. Hopefully Newbridge Golf Club Ltd. will be able to recuperate some of the losses after this is over.

Message from the Competition Secretary

This weekend’s competition (27th – 29th) will be a 12 Hole Singles Stableford, and hopefully the following week will be the Paddy Dignam Cup over 18 holes. A decision has been made to return to ‘signing in’ and ‘score input’ on the PSI Computer screen, as I feel it is more hygienic than paper sheets and pen. Sanitising wipes will be made available next to the PSI screen.

A scorecard label will be issued to all entrants and remember NO LABEL – NO ENTRY.

To assist our treasurer, Fran, please ensure to keep your Competition Fees Account in the black.

The new scorecard indexes will now come into effect for the weekend completion weekending 5th April.

Please always observe the HSE & GUI/ILGU guidelines regarding COVID-19.

Finally, Members who won a prize(s) in the Winter Leagues will be able to collect their prizes at reception from Wednesday (25th March) onwards. All prizes were purchased in McGuirks Golf Newbridge and can be exchanged. I would request that the members who won vouchers to, please, spend them in the Newbridge Outlet and not the other outlets.
