Wind what Wind

Well done to all who braved the elements at the weekend. Liam Murphy (12) came out top of the pile with a magnificent return of 29 pts for the 12 hole comp. Jamie Stafford’s (8) nice romantic walk on Sunday morning seemed to fit seamlessly with the business of traversing 12 holes of Golf in fewer shots than his handicap mmmm might be on to something Jamie 28 pts well done. In 3rd spot we had John M Dempsey (18) on 26 pts. Well done gents and Sinead for marking himselfs card……Oh and well done to our Barton Cup panel who had a notable win away to Esker Hills as part of their continuing preparations for the 1st rd match v last years finalists Baltinglass gc.

Alan Gormley beats the weather

The weekends of playing in pretty decent weather came to an end this weekend with extremely difficult conditions at times. Alan Gormley’s (12) 28 pts for the 12 holes was good enough to take first place. In second was Sean Gaffney (28) with 27 pts, Sean starting to play well this winter i can see his handicap tumbling come qualifying. In 3rd spot also with 27 pts was James Maloney well done all and fair play for those scores in tough conditions.
